Can YOU see the ring around the moon?

Go outside, and look up at the moon can you see the ring from where your at?

the ring is moisture up in the atmophere and its a old indian technique of telling the weather, count the stars inside the ring and that is how many days till it will rain

Actually AZ there millions of miniature ice Crystals projecting light of the moon at 22 deg, therefore forming a perfect circle

Yeah i can't see it tonight but sure could last night. I wondered what that was all about i was just putting my truck up and happened to look up lol.

No ring visible here, BUT.. Mars is incredibly bright and very close to the moon.. very cool..

Yeah, I'm a geek for **** like that, break out the telescope and all... lol..

Closest Mars will be for the next nine years and in full sunlight (Mars is)..

In other news, there's a reasonable chance that a meteor of approx. 160 meters diameter will impact Mars in about 4 months. It's said this would be comparable to the 1906 Siberian blast, though with the thinner atmosphere on Mars the mass should actually strike the surface. Effects visible through low powered telescopes.

Freakin' sweeeet!!
