1950 chevy truck we are restoring

Here is a truck we are restoring at work in our spare time. I did most of the paint work. It has a 383 stroker crate engine from summit, 445hp, a ford 9" with 4 link suspension, 4 wheel disks, hydraulic rack and pinion, aluminum fuel cell, aluminum driveshaft, and many other things im sure im forgetting. Its not done, but its close, it has over 2000 hours in it, drove it 20 feet for the first time today, its really coming together nicely. next week its going to get upholstery work. It has right at $60k in it now. Pictures do it no good, its flawless.

nice job. I know a guy with a 1950 chev like that.. he has a 351W in it and gets all kinds of hate for it. but it is ok to put a chev in a ford?

Nice. Advanced design Chevrolets (47-early 55) are THE best looking trucks ever made without a doubt, there is no other truck that comes close.
We restored a '53 when I was in high school and I absolutely love driving it. Ours is all stock though, so about 45mph is all you're going to get out of the little stovebolt 6 cylinder.

You've got a nice truck man. I wish I was still in Missouri Id run down and take a look at it.

Ive got some more pics of my Chevy in my profile. It's got stock wheels on it now(red) instead of those ugly white spokes.

Ive seen that color scheme done by Foose on a show on tv. I forgot what show it was but they were restoring a truck for Nick (J Simpson ex husband) brother I think.
