Prayers Needed

Hey Guys,

I just got a call from my Dad regarding my Mom. She was in the hospital today having hip surgery and apparently she had a very bad reaction to the morphine shot for pain. It took two urgent response teams to revive her and she is currently in the ICU.

This was supposed to be a special weekend for my family which I was going to post about later, but right now it's all turned upside down. I really appreciate any prayers you guys could say for my Mom.

Thanks,

Duke

Thanks guys, I appreciate the support. I'm stuck here at work because the highway I need to take to get to the hospital has a huge wreck currently and traffic is not even moving for about 7 miles. That's the only way to get across the river so I'm going to have to wait it out.

Once again, I appreciate the thoughts and prayers. Sorry, didn't really have anyone else to talk to about it.

Duke

Prayers sent from my family for your mom and your family. It is never a good feeling having a loved one in that situation and not being able to do anything about it. We lost my grandmother Sunday, and I am still walking around in sort of a fog.

Hello All,

Just got home. The doctors wouldn't let me go into her room in ICU to see her because they said they didn't want her to have any comotion that would affect her heart rate. My Dad was in there with her and talking a little with her when she was awake.

They say she should be fine but will probably be in the hospital for awhile and they'll know more on her condition in the next 48 hours.

Dad told me that when Mom woke up after being revived that she kept saying she was in her happy place and just kept repeating it saying that she was there and she was happy and couldn't feel any pain and kept asking where she was and what happened. Dad told her it wasn't time for her to go to her happy place and it was time to stay here.

My Mom has never been very religious so I don't think she was just throwing it out there to be religious at the right moment. Call it what you want for what you believe. But I feel like God saved her.

Duke
