OK, I know some of you guys & gals won't admit it, and I'll even admit the song is not a real song, even by rap standards, but- it is a catchy tune, and seems to have the whole country doing the "crank" dance, which has gone on to become a line dance.

I just attended my wife's Christmas party, and watched a room full of people, black, white, latina, asian, young, old, drunk, and sober- try to "Crank that Soulja Boy". It was funny, and cool at the same time- to see all the races and ages get up and try to do a dance we're all too old, and too stiff to really do.

But, in case you want to show your kids that you're still hip, and that Momma & Daddy can still move a little bit. When they come home, show them that you can crank that Soulja Boy too.

I think it's fantastic for him to try to teach the steps. If I watched it a few times, I think I could get it. Kudos for him. Maybe I'll surprise my wife and she will freak out on me.

It's part of my job to know these things and stay on top of all fads/ crazes.
I normally don't go around doing the Soulja Boy, but you can bet come prom season it will be played at every prom I work and I'll end up having to do it.
My daughter had her first school dance, and she knew they were going to play Crank Dat. So I taught her the dance to it.

Sadly a lot of people don't, they are playing this at middle school dances and the teachers and administration are doing the dance but have no idea what the song says.

They are not catching, "Superman that ho!" or "Super soak that ho!" and if they are then they have no idea what either one means........

 

Well, count me among the clueless because I have no idea what either one means.

 

This site is PG-13, so I cant give details, but that and that fact that it shouldn't really be played in a professional setting, much less educational setting should be a good clues.

 

Not!! I don't do line dances, I have a hard enough time learning simple ones like the 2 step and the waltz!

 

What I thought it meant was a little different, but not much......
The other one, "Super soak that Ho" just think of a super soaker water gun and what would you do with it "IE spray the girl"....... only you don't use a super soaker water gun....... you use something else........
