Yea , Howell - Thanks , don't go out of your way . I haven't called around yet. I'm trying a few more things then I'm giving it up and putting it back together .. Theres one place close that has - Electronic Repair right on the sign - Mike Spoars Electronic Repair.. I'm going to see what he thinks..

If you here of a good place let me know , that would be cool..

Thanks again..

I actually knew of a great place in Brighton. My house was hit by lightning and it blew out all of my electronics (Big Screen, Computer, Appliances) insurance covered it but I was able to get most of it repaired for a fraction of what my insurance gave me. I just asked my wife what the name of the place was and she told me they are out of business.

Anyway, I'll send an e-mail around the office tomorrow and see if I get any hits. No trouble.

It still could be the PS. I had a PS for a desktop "begin" to go bad. By that I mean with my video card, I/O card, sound card, and internal model card installed it would not run. No screen just a beeping Bios chip. If I uninstalled all the peripherals it would run fine but the Bios menu was all I could get since nothing else was plugged in. My PS was going bad but without it crapping out all together it made trouble-shooting difficult. However, I replaced it guessing it was the problem and I indeed fixed the problem.

I'm glad you said that , yea, I'm replacing a few resistors right now - the board really gets hot on one side - so , I'll see what happens .. I found the same type in old coffee maker board - so I raped and pillaged a little..

Thanks

Jbrew -

I shot an email around the office. Here what they came back with:

Computer Alley off of State Street in Ann Arbor.

Microsource- in Avis Park off of State Street in Ann Arbor

I was told there is also a place off of Jackson Rd across from the Quality 16 strip mall (might also be called Computer Alley, co-worker wasn't sure but said they do good work).

Finally, someone mentioned a place in South Lyon but he didn't know the name of it. That's probably a closer trip for you than Ann Arbor.

Anyway, a few things to check out. Good luck.

Heres the board i found on line in Germany It's exactly like mine, if I can't fix mine, it's an option I guess -

Everyone seems to be tied up or on vacation so I was going to give it a shot myself ..

I replaced a few of the "blue" capacitors so far and had NO effect - goin to try the fuse and a few other larger capacitors - I pulled one leg on each resistor and they checked out. I don't have a capacitor tester and theres not that many of them . I started with the smaller ones.

Hope I don't screw it up lol - I'm keeping the Iron tinned and only touching the board not more than 3 seconds.

Thanks for all your help - Merry Christmas :santa:
