Truck Broken Into!

My 2000 f150 was broken into the other night. They had a tool that completely removed my entire locking mechanism from the driver side door. They attempted to steal the truck, but I came out of my place and chased them off. Is there any way to prevent this from happening by getting a certain lock? Thanks for any help

alarm with a paging system + glock might = no more problems, unless you shoot them...

edit: all those rules change if you happen to live in Texas. lol

If you fill in the keyhole, they will simply break the window to get in. BEST way to avoid this is to be more mindful where you park the truck and make its appearance less desirable to thieves.

Basically make it look my ugly, dirty, gross F150.

I love my truck...

Actually, if anyone sees anything good in your truck, they will break in. But keeping it looking like it came from the factory is probably your best bet.
