Cleaning the wife's vehicle!
I can't stand a filthy car.
so today, i got into the wife's mini-van and wow! what a d@mn pig sty! When i first approached the van, i could'nt barely see the carpet for all the napkins, tissues, soda cans, juice boxes, gummy bears and sucker sticks and some unknown brewing/ fungus project under one of the rear seats.
I almost wanted to do what the forrestry service calls a " controlled burn" of all the undergrowth.
" oh don't worry, its just a car" she says. but when someone else needs a ride, what will they think. I guess its kind of like always wear clean underwear. you never know who's gonna see it.
What's your opinons on keepin the inside clean? I feel that it is a safety issue as well. cant wait till that soda bottle gets wedged under the brake pedal

i completely understand. I keep my 10 year old Ford looking brand new by waxing it a lot and keeping the interior looking spotless. Im even picky about the seat covers.
my sister though, she's got a brand new Toyota Solara and that thing is trashed. She lets her bf smoke in it, theres dog hair everywhere, wrapers, clothes, makeup, dirt, leaves, the windows have never been cleaned and she has never even washed the dam thing, and there's at least a half-inch of brake dust on the front wheels.
And women like to call us pigs....

While I agree it seems ridiculous to sweep out the backhoe everyday, I guess you do what the boss wants.
My wife is that way. I can't stand trash in my truck and what little I eat/drink in it, gets taken out at the next stop. If only I could be as neat and organized in all my other endeavors. But my wife, her car is trashed. Then whenever we are going to transport people, we have to go through the mad dash of cleaning out the car. Next time I think I'll just open all four doors and use the leafblower!
There is a bunch of dog hair in her car though, but we tote the German Shepherd with us a lot, and damn can they shed.

I hate them kind of girls that have a backseat and use it as a extension of their room. You know the one, she's the sober girl that drives all her drunk friends from bar to bar on Friday & Saturday nights. It's shame on ya if you don't call shotgun and have to ride in the back.

Thank God I'm not the only one with a wife that treats her truck like crap. Stinks like split milk, maybe because it is split milk. She lets the kids eat in her truck I don't. She leaves all sorts of receipts all over the place. With romance books stuck in every cubby hole. Argg I so hate driving her truck even though I treated that better than her when I drove it since it was my first ever NEW truck. grrr good thing I'm at work I'd go yell at her for having a nasty truck now.
Were it not for me, my wife's car would never see a rag, inside or out! Without regular intervention, there is this mysterious sticky substance that always seems to build-up on the interior of her vehicles.
When we were dating, I decided to clean her college car (an Hyundai Excel -- what a POS!) and it was only after I removed her floormats that I realized the color of her interior was blue! This is no lie -- I thought it was mouse gray!
I have no doubt that the floor mats of her car had never been removed before I did it that day, and that the inside of this vehicle had never been cleaned or vacuumed since she bought it!

I cant ev en sit in the passenger seat of my girl friends explorer sport trac. I swear its got junk piled up to the windows! I on the other hand keep my truck spotless on the inside. I wont allow any trash in the car and even if I see a leaf on the floor it bothers me
Guess I'm one of the few females out there who regularly washes/waxes/vacuums/cleans and washes the windows. My truck is really dirty on the outside right now because of winter filth and it drives me crazy but the inside it clean. I do my best to keep the whole truck looking nice. When my '81 Mustang got totalled (not our fault) the insurance company looked at the car and paid us for a vehicle in, what they called, "showroom condition".
My wife's Accord only gets clean when I do it. However, and take note here guys, not only is she notorious for litter laying about but nice silver change finds its way into the same nook and crannies. No joke, by the time I shop vac and wipe all surfaces and carpets, and said nooks and crannies I could easily make 3 to 5 bucks in change!! She made a crack one time where all her loose change was and all I said in return was "in a better place"!!
