Thanks, guys. We appreciate your understanding here.

This rule has come about for many reasons. The most prevalent would be that Carfax is a service and, as such, requires a subscription fee to obtain their data. By asking for a freebie, we - as f150online.com - are providing a route for someone to avoid spending money with Carfax. In turn, Carfax frowns, sends ugly emails with references to their external legal council contacting us about brand defamation and loss of fees, and removes us from their Christmas card list.

The long and short of it is that we want to get a Christmas card. Okay?
