2008 Dodge Challenger!!!

Well I got me just a slight problem.... I have just ordered 2 of them... His and Her's??? Maybe not... Long story short. A couple of days ago there was another thread about the 2008 Charger(challenger). I mentioned it to the wifey, and she told me to order one. So today i decided to surprize her and order one earlier this afternoon. I stopped at a local Dodge dealer, and they only said they were ordering 7 of them, and i was #7. I put a $1000.00 down on it and hid the paperwork. I thought i would just buy a model of the Challenger and put the paperwork in an envelope and tape it to the bottom of it and give it to her for Xmas....
But here is the problem. At dinner tonight, I cooked....(seafood alfredo) she asked me if i talked to our local dealer, and i said no, they are probably sold out. I told her that there is only 4500 being made, and are chances were next to none. She said call your old dealer you used to deal with and see if he can get you one, so i said that is like a chance in hell that we could get one. Well i called and low and behold, i just put another $1000.00 on another one!!! I'm # 2 there, #1 is the owner. Well we will see who produces one first, and the other one will go on E-bay....

Uhhhh, what's the price you've agreed to with the dealer? Those first ones are undoubtedly going to be going for ridiculous amounts of money over MSRP........

They both sold me them for MSRP. You have 3 choices of colors, black, silver, Hemi orange. There is only 3 things you can add. Power sunroof, my Gig Nav., and upgraded wheels. I ordered Hemi Orange on both, With every option. Roughly 45K for both out the door....

I work for myself. I will be looking for a job pretty soon after this stunt. I'm going to sell one of them. I am watching e-bay right now. I think i might wait and see what kind of money these bring when they finally hit the ground. I figure if i sell one and make 10-20k on it, it sure eases the pain of 42k for the other one. If they crap out and don't sell, i don't have to take it and i will lose only 1K deposit. If that happens, i won't be betting on any sports games next year! I'm going to keep one of them though, what a mid-life crises car to own!

With the economy all fooked up how can anyone afford to buy anything?

A damn gallon of milk is right at $5.

What am I not doing that you guys are doing?

KIDS... Life's way of telling us that our days of owning toys are over. Time to make room for the new blood ...

At least until they get into their teens...

I'm guessing FX4ME2 doesn't have any...no offense. (kinda envious actually...)
