Ice storm in Cali!

Okay so it's really not an ice "storm", more like frost (with some ice), but still.... we don't get that very often here. It was 30degrees when I woke up. Thank goodness for auto start and seat heaters!

back of hubby's car

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to read up on what I'm doing wrong with my chainsaw. I couldn't even get it started.

Oh, before. I'm saving that for the weekend. Don't want to mess it up. Going for a nice purple color with stars painted on with sparkles and a black border on the edge of the nails. Heavy work gloves and pulling branches can mess that up pretty quickly.

This brings back memories.

Years ago when I was in Oceanside, southern Cali got a really bad "cold streak". Temps were down in the lower 40's and even hit the 30s. It caused a giant panic and a rush for heaters and cold weather gear.

Then it actually snowed some. They lost their freaking minds!

People were sliding down hills on cardboard and whatever they could get, and it was so bad they were sliding into the roads all over the place. Of course half the roads were barely moving as that 1/2 inch of snow caused accidents all over the place.
