This happens to me about 3 times a week... some freak decides to cross in front of my truck while I'm going down the highway at 55 mph. Like duh... there is a 6000 lb moving object coming at you.

This is no lie... I was going down a road I normally take going to work... but this time I was coming home, and a school bus stopped to drop off a kid... well I was coming around the bend, and here was this school bus, with no flashing lights on, letting a kid cross in front of the bus... if I was going fast, that kid would've been mush against my bumper because the bus driver didn't activate the drop off/crossing lights. I came like 10 ft from hitting the poor kid. I got out of my truck, and I made sure the kid was ok, and the bus driver steps out appologizing and all this crap.. so I told him I was going to call the bus garage, and he was pleading to me that it was a pure accident that he forgot to put the lights on... trying to get me from calling them. So I demanded that he call them on the radio and tell them what just happened, finally I guess some sense broke through and he notified them. They wanted to talk with me and everything, and I gave my side of the story. They told him right there that he lost his job and to turn off the bus. The driver did as he was told, and as I was leaving, it looked like he was swearing and all sorts of crap.

I'm glad the idiot lost his job.

My heart went in my throat when it happened. I thought for sure I hit the kid.

You'd think the driver would have made sure he had his crossing lights on especially since that is the only part of the bus you can see when going around that turn.
