Im trying to buy a 2008 black on black Expedition XLT. They are asking $31,000. Do you guys think they are asking too much??

Shop it out to a couple of other dealers. Ask to see the sticker price and then there is generally a $4000 or so mark up on the vehicle.

I'd offer them $250 over invoice -- you keep the incentives. That's a fair deal for you, and for them......

Carsdirect.com shows $31k so I'd say that's a decent but not great price. For sure shop around it could save you. Don't let the sales people play their games with you and don't give them your phone number. You can also call the dealerships and ask for the fleet and lease manager. Tell them you need a price on a Expedition XLT. If they ask who you are say you are a retired dealer or what ever. They should not care as it means a sale for them. If you don't want to do it send me a PM and I'll call. Of course an ad vehicle priced low would be your best best if you can get it.
