Chicago

I am here in Chicago right now for some sales training. There is about 4-5 inches of snow on the ground right now and it isnt stopping! Its so damn cold. I think its in the mid 20's. I found it weird that there arent any country stations on the radio here. Its kind of pissing me off. I like Chicago but I prefer Texas. This place is to cold and its just plain weird. I guess its a northern thing.

Suck it up Sally. I am going to work right now...You think this is winter??? Come back in Feb. Where you at downtown. I am working near Halsted and North. And yes US99 plays country but you should listen to q101 or 95.1 not that country crap.

Chicago has one of the best radio stations going...WXRT 93.1. Boy, do I miss it. Country music isn't exactly popular in Chicago, maybe one or two stations, and those are for visitors and transplants.

i live about 60 miles north of chicago right on the wisconsin border. (the cheddar curtain) bud..... middle 20's is no problem, wait until the air temp is 0 and the wind chill is -40 or so.... the last few days the wind has been pretty calm so its not bad. i was actually thinking of doing some ice fishing but i was afraid it was still a little early. (i weight 230)

i just love to climb in the truck in the morning when its below 0..... the seat feels like a rock, the door handles are all stiff... luckily i have the block heater... so she spins really easy.... without it the starter just lopes before it fires. and your breath frosts the inside of the windshield..... sometimes i wonder why i live here......

later - oaw

p.s. 99.5 is a decent country station and if you go south by joliet 98.3 is good too.

How's the Sandler Training Dave?

Lived in Vernon Hills for 3 years (about 30 minutes north of the city) and worked in Oakbrook (about 15 minutes west of the city). Chicago is a great and I liked it out there, but my roots are here in Michigan and I'm not big city by any means.

Dave, when are you leaving. You should hit the town tonight. Depending on what your in the mood for, I am sure we can make some recommendations for ya.

Go eat at Gibson's tonight. Or Pizano's! Too great places to eat. If you go to Pizano's then get a pizza and wings. And at Gibsons you have to get a steak its the best steak you will ever have short of coming over to my house and havin the old man cook you one . I Get to go there quite often. My dad is affiliated with RJO Brian and I get to go down on the floor at the Chicago Board of Trade its pretty cool.

Go to the Art Institute and bring me a Monet or Renoir. For this you will get free beer for life and I'll throw in a few Bimbos too!
