Wrecks to Riches...

Anyone watch that show on TLC, i think? He builds some awesome cars, imo. He takes cars that were cool for their time and just takes them to the next level, like Foose. Saw part of the SuperBird he did last night....

makes me wish i was rich.. or at least worked for him!

Is this a serious show, or another one of those goofy shows with silliness?

no its serious. the concept is basically that this speed shop finds old muscle cars that arent in the best shape but restorable "wrecks" and pays the owners say $2000 or whatever the hunk of junk is worth in its current form.

then he fully restores them and puts bad azz motors, new interiors, rims, amazing paint, etc. the whole time the show is chronicalling how much he is spending in man hours and money.

then he takes the car to auction and sees how much profit he made "riches"

for instance he spent roughly $53000 on the superbird project last night and sold it for $75000, a nice little profit of $22k. but he doesnt do too well sometimes. its pretty interesting IMO.

hope that helped explain it

Barry White does really good work. His SMC(Super Muscle Cars) always turn out really well. Im not a fan of every care he builds, but I sure do respect what he has done to them.
