Quintin, yes he is great! Have you ever listened to the guy that Clapton credits as his greatest influence? Give a liston to Freddie King sometime. Especially "Palace of the King". He died at the age of 39 but influenced so many guitarists.

not to derail things,but there have been many music artist who have died young.. Clapton's "Cocaine"

Sorry, normally I wouldn't bash other peoples music taste (even when it sucks), but that statement is laughable. Bob Seger isn't even in the same class as Clapton. If you really know Claptons music (Cream, Derek and The Domino's, The Yardbirds, John Mayhall and the Bluesbreakers, Blind Faith, and of course his solo career) then by putting that chevy loving wailer above him tells me you don't know good music when you hear it.

For the record, I don't think Bob Seger sucks. He just isn't nearly as good as Clapton.

I love clapton, and bob segar both great. Lately I have been listening to alot of Manfred Mann, The Who, Pink Floyd, Alice in Chains, and Foghat. They all sound amazing on my rainbows
