Towing a trailer from Dallas to LA

hey guys,
I'm moving to LA next month from Dallas towing an 16 feet enclosed trailer with brakes. My plan is to avoid I-40 because of the winter storms. In that case I'll be taking I-10. Which is a less mountanous route, I-8 to San Diego or I-10 to LA? I don't mind a longer route to San Diego then to LA if it the terrain is more foregiving.

I-10.

I've driven that trip before when stationed at Camp Pendleton. The I-8 route goes into the mountains...I believe.

I can pull that trailer for you, as long you dont have a fridge inthe back.

Please Jamz, don't offer to help tie the load down, either.

Yeah, leave that to the professionals -- the $8.00-per-hour part-timers at Lowe's......

Booty scratchers,

The strap failed.

Rule #1

Don't buy straps from Home Depot.

If he is going through San Diego from Dallas, I am pretty sure he is moving to Los Angeles. Just a guess though.

I'm moving to Los Angeles. We took I-8 to San Diego along time ago and the mountains were quite steep. I hope I-10 isn't too bad.
