The only thing I don't like is the bulb that will need replacing eventually.

I wonder if bulbs are covered under extended warranty.

Plasma are more prone to burn in.

I would think not. Probably "normal wear".

True, but I don't leave anything on long enough to burn in.

No way in hell am I going shopping tomorrow. Did it once and I almost got killed reaching for a comforter! I'd rather pay the extra bucks than deal with a bunch of nuts.

This will be my first time shopping on Black Friday. I've already talked myself into a new tv. I'm coming home with something tomorrow. Little children & grandma be damned!

From what I've heard, my cousins husband was telling me earlier this week, the new ones have a plasma cooler, like a little radiator behind the screen and it constantly flows the plasma back to be cooled. You're not suppose to be able to see the movement but it's suppose to be there. He's an installer for one of the local high end A/V shops. He does installs for the condos and yachts at the lake. He said that has almost eliminated burn in beyond tube types and increases the life substantially.

Cool. I can still see my wife ruining one with the damn Tivo though.

I still like rear projection. Better picture quality.

I cant swear to that, but thats just what he was telling me and he's almost as much of a techy / gadget guru, as Dzervit.
