Rare robbery case brings cries of racism

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071116/...hiqpI6Rz1H2ocA

LAKEPORT, Calif. - Three young black men break into a white man's home in rural Northern California. The homeowner shoots two of them to death — but it's the surviving black man who is charged with murder.

In a case that has brought cries of racism from civil rights groups, Renato Hughes Jr., 22, was charged by prosecutors in this overwhelmingly white county under a rarely invoked legal doctrine that could make him responsible for the bloodshed

Ahh, racism. Of course.

I like how the guy said, "Race has nothing to do with it other than this was a gang of black people who thought they were going to beat up this white family."

If someone broke into my house and beat one of my family members with a baseball bat, I would have absolutely zero hard feelings about shooting them in the back

Yes Racism is wrong, but it makes me mad when one race groups together to attempt to justify criminal acts. Like Micheal Vick with all that dog fighting stuff. You got black people banding together to say he wasnt wrong just because hes black..........

If someone does something wrong it shouldnt matter what the fu&* color they are. I think there is almost more reverse racism (black to white) today in the United States then there is traditional racism (white to black). Black people can get away with so many things and then pull the race card and get off way easier then others would.

Its crap, pure crap

I agree, but it aint just crimes and crap like that, its also gettin jobs, who gets laid off, and "oh no, we cant fire them because we will get sued". Then in schools, jobs, and many other places you can't wear or show rebel flags. It's part of history and represents the South, if people don't like it why do they whine so much? Just move the hell away! Thats why there is now a 3x5 out the back of my truck. I'm tired of the crap. I get called a "cracker" or "hillbilly" and I say somethin in defense and I am the racist one? It's all a load of crap and I think we need to start making a stand against crap like this!

Good. I am glad he's getting charged with murder. Make an example out of him. It's too bad they aren't seeking the death penalty IMO. The 19 year old is brain damaged and can't feed himself. Eye for an eye, someone should take a baseball bat upside his melon.

My hats off to the step-father for protecting his home and his family.

Thumbs down hmmm.....

And they actually wonder why nothing ever improves in their communities??
This was a chance for Rev. Brown to condemn the actions of these animals and send a message to those young people who might be on the same path, but he chooses to defend them, and chastise the man of the house for defending his family? Geez, I wonder If Rev. Brown ever inquired about the young guy who got beat by the baseball bat?????
The intruders made their own choices.
F'n morons.

x2.

This is the kinda crap you get in California. If on of the shot robbers was a female, the feminist groups would be going crazy. If one of them were gay, half of San Francisco would be running around the streets butt naked the next day protesting. Its total bull****.

I dont care what color you are, you run into someone's house and start beating their family members and stealing s***, you deserve to get shot.

X's 2

One more squeeze of the trigger would have solved all of this.

Bad crimes have been going on for a long time, long before Gore bore the net. However, with the net, we can all learn about it instantly.

If they weren't breaking the law all of them would be alive. DON'T BREAK THE LAW. It's simple! If you are a law abiding citizen life works out so much better.
