I know of three people around my area that drive full size farm tractors for their main mode of transportation due to loosing their licenses from DUI.

One guy ditch his tractor a couple weeks ago, not sure if he got caught. It look like he might have walked home afterwords and came back when he sobered up.

Sled...

Yep many drive tractors after license suspension here too.
One guy I went to school with drove his JD cab over 22 miles to school each day for most of a school year. Heck he had Radio, Heat, AC and 4WD.

One of my neighbors got busted on his lawn mower coming back from the neigborhood bar a few years ago. It's outside the city limits and only a 1/2 mile from his house. He'd done it for years, but got caught once.

I've riden my lawnower (not drunk) but futher than that down the shoulder of a state highway to get gas, and also about 3 miles to mow a friends yard, because I was to lazy to load it up.

I've caught the county commissioner riding his over to mow his dads yard who lives right next door to my friend that I rode mine to. LOL

You can get a DUI in a golf cart as well. I can remember quite a few of the members/neighbors at the golf course I used to live/work at that got DUI's on their personal golf carts. I think it's bull**** if you ask me, but I don't have any experience with law enforcement. I only see this being dangerous to the drunk driving the golf car. I dunno.

I want to say I've also heard of someone being pulled over drunk on their horse...

That is a new one. As redneck as this town is, I don't think I have heard of that here.

Really what is the worst that they can do there, drunk in public?

Towing your horse can be costly.

Haha...

I drink beer while driving my tractor all the time... heck, I take the deck off and go like 20 miles from my house. Just aimlessly ride around and such... no one messes with me. I've gotten some strange looks when a Cub Cadet comes out of a wooded forest.

This past summer I drove to the gas station that is like 4 miles down my road... I like doing it because it is scenic. I think I did it a few times with a beer... but no one ever bothered me.

Here in Illinois you can get a DUI riding a bike! Now that is crazy! As for the golf cart thing, we have a lot of neighborhoods around here where people drive their golf carts. About 2-3 years ago a guy and his wife were cruising back from a neighborhood party in their golfcart and long story short the dude took a sharp left turn and the broad fell out. She whacked her head on the pavement and later died. The dude was charged with DUI and reckless homicide. Sux to be him huh...

Here in California, you can get a DUI for being drunk and in control of any vehicle which can be propelled, moved, or drawn upon a highway.

Here's a fun California law for you all....If you are driving your vehicle on your private property, you can be arrested for driving under the influence, if you are in fact under the influence.

I think you can also get reckless driving even if you are doing say donuts on your own lawn.
