Clear resin you can get at craft stores, or maybe automotive body supply stores and I think most home stores too, but I wouldn't swear to that. I keep a gallon and a tube of hardner on hand that I get from Body Supply Store. But I ussually buy the cheapest "non clear" resin. It's still semi transparent but has a yellow tint to it. I use it for fiberglass work and projects, body repair, sealant on boat and camper and house and plumbing and crafts and alot of places in general.
Once you learn ot use it it's awesome stuff.
The container wil probably need to be some type of plexane to keep it from melting during curing. They should have several sizes with the resin at a craft store. They are called mold boxes or mold container or something like that.

You might could aslo build your own box out of plywood, line it... I mean saturate the inside with vasoline so when the resin cures ou can tear the plywood apart and have a big block of resin. But then you'll have to sand and polish all services so you can see through them.

Seriously, clear laquer will do the job. My mom used to bake crap and laquer it and set it in a basket it. blah blah blah. It works tho.

Even if you seal it in resin it will decay. There will be bacteria on the rib and you will seal that in with it causing the decay.

How about drying it like jerky?

What about making a fake one from a cast kit used for making casts of babies hands?

check Ebay, there may be a fake one on there.

That said, I do love me some McRib!
If it didn't you'd be crapping out undigested McD's. Take a look next time, let us know.

a good dunk in some liquid nitrogen will do the trick but then coat it with clear resin for strength
