Deer + Element + 55MPH - body shop = :)

Well, finally got our E back Friday. Body shop did a great job. They had to replace at least one piece of the frame, maybe two. I haven't time to check over the list or really go over the E in the daylight.

They also broke one of our window visors while repairing the passenger door, but they said to just go buy a new set, and bring them the receipt and they reimburse us.

They did a very good job. The only thing the bothers me is having parts of the frame replaced. That's the one thing I never want to mess with... and I would never consider buying this car used, but that's just me.

For the record there was around $4k worth of damage, and all but the fan and shroud (and I can't seem to figure out why, nor could the guy I talked with at the body shop) were new Honda parts. The engine checked out fine. So, 30+ miles on a cool morning, driving 70+ MPH will not kill the engine...

He she is in our driveway this morning...

and before...

Are you trying to say the deer might have looked worse after hauling than hitting?

Is that the Element SC? At least those look better than the regular Elements.

Nope, its the new EX. Only the LX has the checkerboard fenders from 2006 on. This was the wife's choice of vehicles (and as much as I hate to admit it, I kinda like it.), and we both agreed no checkerboards. However, I wanted the SC, but she wanted the EX, so since this was for her, we got the EX.

The SC has a more aerodynamic front end, no black plastic (except I think the a-pillar cover ), a nice full center console, black interior, a little stiffer suspension, and 18" wheels...

Saw a guy in an older Bronco hauling a dead deer on his hood yesterday in MANHATTAN! What a moron. I guess he does not know how detrimental hauling a dead deer in democrat loaded city can be. I guess some hillbillies never get a fully developed brain.

By the way, I am in Manhattan for the holidays. Not many F 150's up here, that's for sure. Maybe seen....none!

Honda Ailment...One step above a Scion Box.
