Stuck In Phoenix Tonight......

The bad news is that I'm bored out of my skull sitting in the hotel room.

The good news is that by flying home tomorrow morning instead of this evening, I'm assured of missing tomorrow's birthday party for a friend's little girl -- a houseful of 4-year-old girls shrieking at the top of their lungs!

I'll take the boredom.......

Ehh... I can think of *SEVERAL* places that are 10X worse. Sioux Falls -- and a botched plane trip -- immediately come to mind because of past experience.

Guess it's better than being stuck in Newark, NJ.

Actually, I was thinking earlier, if I was stuck in Newark, at least I could kill an hour or two driving down to that pizza joint in South Amboy......

That's what I'm thinking -- and this is coming from someone who's got a middle seat for a 2-1/2 hour flight tomorrow morning!

And who wants to bet that the people sitting on either side of me tomorrow will qualify for inclusion in the "Fat Bastards" thread.......

Yeah -- the second-to-last time I was in Jersey I went back and had another pie with the Caesar side salad.

The last time I was back there I was too tired to drive down, and ended up eating at a dreary little IHOP that was just west of the Newark airport.
