I love how people love to bash barry bonds, just because he is the home run king and took supplements.

Once all the baseball players of today are retired, rich, and happy, they will all start admitting to using the same stuff. i guarentee you 70% of major league players are juicing up, and it just so happens that the best one of the bunch got caught.

Maybe the MLB should do more intensive testing and more regularly to find the reality behind all of this...

Im not defending Barry, he messed up and got caught. But people need to realize, everyone else does it too. Its not a 1 man deal.

A salary cap would be nice too. Frankly right now the MLB is a joke to me, and i used to be a huge baseball fan...

but for now, Go Niners.

Barry Bonds. The MLB homerun king.

Baseball sucks so bad they knew he was dirty and STILL didn't do squat about it. The entire thing from beneath Bonds all way to the top of MLB is a joke.

Baseball and Football are in my mind a complete joke. Who ever thinks hitting *****, throwing *****, running around bases, getting touch downs, home runs, and such is having fun, then tell me what is?

It is a waste of money, a waste of people's time, and it just gives people something else to whine about.

Those people don't deserve money. It's only a stupid game a 5 year old could play.

Dude, you live in NY. You have your choice of like 17 different teams between the 2 sports to root for.

You don't find any of it entertaining.

It's really funny how athletically fit these baseball, basketball, and football players actually are.

If I could find the information about it, I would... because my college brought up an interesting info-article about it. So we actually tried it ourselves... to an interesting surprise.

The article stated basically that they got a 13 man cross country team from a college (average college xc runners half-way through a season), and they had a 5k (3 mile) race between a major league baseball team, a national football league team, and a national basketball team... individually. The NBA players died about 2.5k and begun walking. The MLB players died about 3k before walking. The NFL players died at about 2k. That was at the fastest pace they were able to sustain. Most begun to die off earlier.

My college test with our baseball and basketball teams. Baseball players died at 3k and the basketball players died at about 2k.

What's funny is that no one had the realization of true distance. It's amazing.

If you can't run a 5k a full race pace, at least 6:00 - 6:30 minute miles, then you shouldn't be involved with sports. Which none of the players were in fit shape. Which is SAD.

Professional sports is around for 1 reason and 1 reason only. Entertainment. How the hell is cross country track entertainment? I'm sure that the average CC runner is in better shape than the average professional athlete, but that doesn't mean their have their skills and abilities.

For you to say that anyone who can't run a 6 minute mile shouldn't be in professional sports or any sports for that matter, is like saying you are the smartest retard in the world.
