That study is BS. Afteer you sleep 5-6 hours you sober up. I have many years of experience. I have never woke up drunk the next day. I have woke up and felt like crap though. So that study says that your blood alcohol level stays at .08 the whole time your sleeping? Maybe if your drinking in your sleep!

I'd say if you've never woke up still a little drunk then you've never really "tied one on" so to speak. I've still been hammered in the morning after 6-8 hours of sleep and for the record, I'm no lightweight. I was part of the U.S. professional drinking team (aka US Navy Submarine Service) for over 6 years.

I find it funny how you can debunk an actual scientific study (albiet a poorly done one at that) by just saying that its crap. What they are saying is essentially that sleeping does not increase the rate at which your body processes alcohol. Actually the reverse is true from my understanding, since when you sleep your metabolism slows it should take longer for your body to process the alcohol.

But they said that someone with a .08 alcohol level went to sleep and when they woke up it was the same! That is just not possible. Over the period of a few hours your blood alcohol level will drop. Unless your drinking more in your sleep.

more than likely their bac was still rising at 2am when the took the test. so their bac rose still when they went to sleep and then a few hours later it was on it's way back down when they woke 'em up and tested em again.

punani = cooter
