suspension install

i have installed a 2.5 leveling kit on my 06 f-150 2wd, a 2.5 leveling kit on my friends 05 f-150 fx4, and a 1.5 daystar my friends 05 dodge 1500. I have also done simple bolt on stuff like exhaust and intakes.. BUT my question is with my experience on those trucks do you think i will be able to install a fabtech 6 inch on my truck without any problems?? Anyone that has done it can you give me any tips or advice on putting it on, and about how much time will it take??
Thank you for any input. I am hoping to be able to do this myself because i want to save around 500 to 600 bucks on install from 4wheelparts..
Thanks again

TIPS:

Have two (2) sets of jack stands.

Have at least 1 hydraulic jack... two jacks will help.

All the tools you need. There are some large sockets needed for the front end.

General experience with tools and truck suspension.

Have an extra hand. I put the lowering kit on my truck by myself... It would have really helped to have an extra hand! Plus, it's ALOT safer to have another person beside you while you're under a 3 ton vehicle.

Does the kit have new rear leaf springs? If so.. you may have to drop the gas tank. I had to to install my lowering kit. I bought another bolt for it because I planned on cutting off the head.. no dice. That thing is ROCK HARD. I filed off the teeth on two sawzall blades trying to cut it.

Dropping the tank wasn't hard though... a jack and some plywood was all it took to get it down.

If you have problems along the way, just log onto this website and i'm sure someone will help you.

Good luck!
