And cap'n check your email.

I dont think there is a rule on that. Technically, lets say every other team in the country has at least 2 losses. LSU and Florida go through undefeated in the SEC, and by scheduling chance, they dont play each other until the SEC championship. They are ranked 1 and 2 in the BCS, and because they are each undefeated, even the single loss in the Championship game, their BCS rankings would remain 1 and 2. Then I think they would indeed play each other again for the NC.

Not necessarily because whoever loses the SEC championship game, assuming they are one and two going in, would drop past number two and 3 or 4 would jump up. I don't see a way the loser of that game would still remain at number 2 in the country and deserve a shot. There are a lot of different scenarios that could happen, but I'm just speaking my mind.

Lets say Florida came in number 1 at 12-0 and lost the SEC champ. game. Thatd make them 12-1 overall. Lets say Oklahoma is 11-2 after winning the Big 12 and are sitting at number 3. That doesnt mean they will automatically jump Florida, as Florida still has 1 less loss and 1 more win. Itd depend on strength of schedule, but if Florida has a tougher schedule, they wouldnt automatically drop past 2. So it could happen unless there is a specific rule Im unaware of that says 2 teams from the same conference cant play for the NC.

But since they lost they would more than liekly get left out. Remember 03 with USC getting "left out" and lsu winning it all

Yeah, Im just sayin, hypothetically it could happen. Especially if there was a big separation in their and Oklahomas strength of schedule. I mean, if Florida was #1 going into SEC championship weekend, loses a close, tough fought game to #2 LSU and thats their only loss all year. Their strength of schedule is 5th, Oklahoma won the Big 12 the same weekend, but are 11-2 overall and were sittin at #3, but their strength of schedule is 58th. I think it would be possible and only right that then #1 LSU and deservedly #2 Florida should and probly would play for the NC in that situation.

I know theres all kinda politics in CF, but itd be tough to dance around that situation.

Pay hommage to the mighty fighting Ducks....soon to be ranked #2.

Also bow to Boise State for last year's undefeated season..... they should have been in the championship game.

Nah.. 2 loss Tebow.. he's one dimensional, a runner.. a GOOD runner, but not half the qb that the Duck is...

Wilson (is that his name?) looks like a hybrid of Randall Cunningham and Vince Young, if they mated..

I'll give odds right now that he'll get the Heisman..

Poor Colt Brennan may have all the huge stats and be undefeated, but no one sees him play..

Anyhow, all I care about is that the friggin' Browns lose the rest of their games so that the Cowboys can be in position to draft that kid from Arkansas... Let J. Jones go in free agency, MB3 plus McPherson would be just evil...

yes yes holla amen!!

Put down the beer dude. Dixon is the QB from Oregon, and the kid from Arkansas is Darren McFadden.
