best way is to get a bobcat trap. I use a catnip plant for bait. When you catch them, you take them to the animal shelter and turn them in. Then you don't have the guilt of killing them (not that there would be any... they are sub animal after all) and keep your self out of trouble. Most places have a stiffer fine for shooting a cat than shooting a human.

Only difference is that the BB gun doesn't kill them... ethyl glycol (contained in antifreeze) kills household pets like cats, dogs, birds and rodents.

My solution? Throw an M80 in the street. That'll scare **** out of 'em. They'll learn fast.

Thumbs up

could get a trap, get them in it and subtly relocate the cat in the next town over or further

EDIT: Maybe not, just looked on ebay. I think Amazon at $60 shipped may be the best, kinda expensive to me. I like the $20 pellet gun.
We had one of those set up in my flowerbed in Juneau. Had a cat decide to use it for a litter box. The sprinkler works great!!

We also trapped a couple of cats and took them to the animal shelter. Many animal shelters will loan cat traps to you for problem cats. Even if the cats are your neighbors pets, when they go to bail them out, most animal shelters have fees to pay to retrieve your animal. Maybe the cat will be back, trap it again...and again...and again until the owners are tired of bailing it out and either leave it there or keep it home!

Be nice boys. Cats have feelings too.

And this is coming from a dog lover.

Anti-freeze is a bad idea, you could end up killing not just the offending animal, but non-problem cats and dogs that are attracted to the sweet smell of the coolant!

As suggested above, go to animal control in your area and they will lend you a cat trap for free (with credit card hold).

Just use a chicken bone for bait, and you will easily catch every cat that shows up.

I did this once to catch these two cats that kept sitting on the hood of my truck. If they didn't scratch my hood, I wouldn't have minded.

After catching the cats, I would double check to make sure they were the offenders and didn't have a collar or someone's pet.

I didn't want animal control to put them to sleep (old tomcats usually don't get adopted), so I just relocated them in a restaurant business district a couple of miles away.

I friend of mine had the same problem with a neighbors cat. He trapped it and then gave it a good soaking with a hose before letting it out. It's never come back.

My brother in law had the same problem with several cats and talked to the owner who basicly said do what you got to do. He trapped them and released them in another location. He said all of them but one where nasty in the cage and tried to spray him and claw him. No more problem.

After doing some research this is what Ive come up with. I love the Scarecrow idea from an above post but its getting cold and Im afraid that the water may freeze so I decided to go with these two products

http://www.contech-inc.com/products/catstop/

http://www.critter-repellent.com/cat...-on-my-car.php

Let me know what you think
