Sprint "Touch"

Anyone have this phone?

Anyone hear anything good or bad about it?

Anyone know anything about it?

I need a new phone and thought this looked pretty cool but I don't want a POS.

Which one are you thinking about the touch or the touch dual?

Well, since Sprint seems to offer just the touch and not the dual, I may not have a choice. I'm gonna call them and find out if they offer the dual. I text a lot so I wondr how the regular touch would be??

The phones look pretty nice.
If you don't have a lot of experince with windows mobile 6 it can be a bit combersome.
HTC has a fair amount of phones for different cell companys so the quality should be pretty good.
Are you set on staying with sprint?

Not totally set on Sprint, but I don't have any problems with them either. My service is good everywhere I go. Plus I think if I switch now, I will get hit with a termination fee. However, if another provider has a better deal, I', not against it.

What do you suggest??

What are some carriers up there?

I work with alot of Sony Ericsson phones, which run Symbian OS. It has a better user interface then windows mobile. In addation to being a nicer OS they all run on a GSM network. I find this a benafit because I can change phones out with less hassel because most GSM phones can be unlocked.

If you like to switch phones alot then I would switch to a GSM network. Then you can go to tiger direct or ebay and buy about any phone you want and not have to worry about switching carriers.

Hmm,,well I have to admit, I don't know much about the different networks. And I'm guessing since I don't know much, I'm sure the windows thingamajig on the Touch won't bother me much, if at all. I don't change phones very often it just so happens that my current phone is taking a crap on me and I want a new one before im stuck with a broken one.

I'm gonna call Sprint tonight and see what they can do for me. If they don't give me a decent deal, then I'll think about switching.

A good forum to read about the touch and they sections for all manufacturers of Sprint phones: http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=126

If you're at the end or close to the end of your contract with Sprint, I'd suggest getting onto a Sprint SERO plan. www.sprint.com/sero
It's the best thing going IMHO.

WOW..what a bunch of freaks on that forum. About 5 minutes of reading and I had a headache.

So far, it seems the Touch is a hit. I think i'm gonna go for it if I can get a decent deal on one. I'm not close to the end of my comtract so I don't think the SERO would work for me..even so, I don't know anyone in Sprint to refer me.

Well, with any luck it will be here when I get home from work tomorrow. I'll mess with it for a bit and let you know how it is.

Nah, you don't need to actually know anyone to refer you to SERO. the e-mail addy savings@sprintemi.com works if you're doing it online (though it's almost impossible to get on it online if you're already a Sprint customer. Then you can try to do it over the phone by either calling 1-888-882-4030 or *2 from your Sprint handset and saying "CANCEL" which will put you through to the retention department and making up some story about why you're ready to pay the ETF and move to AT&T or Verizon but the SERO plan that your 'friend' is on might get you to change your mind.

Anyway, please give a review on the Touch if you can. I've got the Mogul, but the Touch seems like the phone to have at the moment.
