That looks like it was a blast! I would love to go on a good pheasant hunting trip.

Yes they are. Those Hens were taken from a "controlled" area in Cloud County.

There are a few Mongolian Blacks in there too and those were also taken from the controlled area. The Roosters were taken in various fields.

The controlled area is a joint effort by the state and conservation efforts to boost, control and maintain healthy habitats and population etc.

We had our transport papers for the hens.

Cheers

(EDIT) picture doesn't show all the hunters present. We all had possession limits on the wilds. some of the fields were huge, next we are going to take some quads to block with.

I hadn't realized that opportunity. No worries.

No problem, I wasn't aware of this special area either until a guide friend of mine let me in on one of his booked weekends.

I hear these are pretty rare so I took advantage when i could.

There were LOTS of Texans in Kansas this past week.

There are 5 nice sized does and one yearling grazing in my yard 15 yards from my house right now........

Looks over at the bow, I know there is atleast one broad head in that quiver......... BRB!

They really are grazing, been there every night for about a month and a half.

But it's a YOTA, which cancels out all those other cool doo-dads.
