Another cell phone thread....

I currently have Verizon Wireless and do not plan on switching providers as Verizon works very well for me in my area compared to the others.

That being said, I am considering the possibility of upgrading my current phone which is a LG VX4500. I have been browsing on VW website and the Motorola MOTOKRZR K1m Fire caught my attention.

Is this a solid, realiable phone??? pros or cons ??? I know that Motorola builds some quality products as all of our communication gear in my fire dept. is from them.

Linky to phone ....

I haven't heard anything bad about it.

I just got the Motorola Q and I love it!

I have a Motorola KRZR through Verizon, and aside from the buttons being a bit small for my fat fingers, I love it. The battery life is great, so's the audio quality during a call, and the camera isn't all that bad.

I played with a friend's KRAZR for a few minutes once. I handed it back to him before I threw it as far as I could. The menus sucked, the phone took several seconds to switch between menus and the buttons were way too small. In my opinion I would not take a Motorola phone on a drunken dare. Unless it's a Nokia it's no better than two cans and a string.

I don't think you're too biased with the line of " I would not take a Motorola phone on a drunken dare. Unless it's a Nokia it's no better than two cans and a string. " LOL..

I've had/used Motorolas they suck. I had/have/used Nokias they work. Many times I have seen a Nokia make calls when the others could not; same carrier working off of the same tower. I have used all of the major brands at some point. I only will own a Nokia.

For 20 years, I've had to deal with mobile phones (They were mobile phones then, not cell phones). Without exception, every time I have purchased a phone that was not Motorola, I was sorely disappointed. To the point I would purchase a Motorola as a replacement, regardless of the cost.

I currently have a razor and like it very much. The camera isn't much, but I very seldom use it. I like that there are no buttons on the sides of the phone. They're on the flip part. It works well, sounds good, long battery life with the extended battery, has Bluetooth and good voice recognition.

And around here, Verizon has the best coverage although I really, really hate dealing with them as a company. We could use a few more towers though.
