That's why no Lightnings or Cobras.. they put the entire SVT shop on the GT 500 project.. I've read some specultation that since the GT is now out of production they'll be back to work on the stuff people can possibly afford.. lol

The GT500 is NOT an SVT. It is NOT considered an SVT by Ford either. Its is a product of SVT, but called Shelby. ****ing redicilous if you ask me. Should have been the next get SVT Cobra not some name of a has-been.

If I ever buy one, I'm replacing all the Shelby bull**** with SVT badges.

Actualy, I asked the wrong question. What I was wondering is, what happend to the dealerships that had to buy a franschise to sell the SVT vehicles? I know some of you work at dealerships and I thought someone might know. What do those dealers get for thier money?

Well... let me say it like this...

NO, the GT500 isn't "officially" an SVT vehicle.. there's certainly no SVT badge on the thing..

However, if you've ever read any car mag at all in the past 4 years or so it's been widely reported that Ford stopped SVT work on Mustangs, Lightnings, freakin' FOCUS'S, for God's sake.. to put all those skills into the GT500..

Don't get me wrong, I've seen and heard a couple of GT500's up close.. best looking, best sounding cars I've ever seen or heard!!.. Ferrari's, Lambo's included... Thanks to the SVT I'm damn sure!

Now, hopefully, they'll be able to turn their attention back to the F150 and Mustang.. It's been toooooo long!!!!!!
