^^^ thats what the body shop said as a rough estimate. its not just a bolt on job, you have to drill the spot welds out.

Just about totaled $2k.

Totaled@ $2K? I need to see your adjuster. $4,900 estimate plus an as yet unknown suppliment for getting rear ended a second time in an 01 SCREW with frame damage both times. I am currently fighting to get at least a new frame. Doesn't look like I can make them total it, even with 117k on the clock. See the thread titled "torn frame" here in GD.

EDIT: You mean the total bill was $2k. I meant that the panel was about $500, labor and mis parts takes up the rest.

Maybe you should trade your bed in for a flairside bed...

I've always liked the red flairsides...

I watched from across the street a couple months ago an old lady who had just parked next to my truck open her door on her nice lincoln faster then you could blink, with the door getting about a half inch from my truck. The money and the truck do matter, but if nothing else I just did not want to have to deal with the situation if she hit my truck. After she closed her door and walked away I just forgot about it all and let it go, everything was fine since she did not hit it.

Yeah, the total bill was about $2k. New flare, small things (brackets) under the panel, yadda yadda...

I was scared to death, but thankfully I slammed on the brakes soon enough to roll down to snail speed.

Man I have driven all over this country, some 27 states and some of the worst drivers I have seen are in the Gilbert, Chandlier, Tempe, PHX area.

And there is a lot more than just one old lady in AZ, they were everywhere.

Sled...

I'm sorry dude that sucks! Those are the worst ones...the ones that dont affect the drive, but you see it everytime you look at the truck. Someone keyed my tailgate at school and it drives me crazy to look at it.

this is why I park at the end of the parking lot where lazy *** ppl dont park b/c the store is to far away. Last year a shopping cart that a lady left unattended came racing down the parking lot and hit my car door. Park at the end and walk the walk.

I watched a little old lady from Ill. cut across 2 lanes of traffic cutting off/infront of people that were in the legal turning lane, so she could make a left hand turn. She almost hit me, but I was able to stop, but she T-boned a lady in a Mini van fairly hard....... Pushed the mini van into the guard rail. I did my duty, made sure the lady and her kids in the van where alright first, then went to the elderly couple and made sure they were alright then called the cops. I even stuck around to give a statement and leave my info.

[QUOTE=marwilli1]So I was minding my own business this afternoon, going through the Lowes parking lot when the next thing i knew it felt like the back end of my truck ran over a curb. I stopped and got out and some 50yr old lady had backed into the driver side of the box on my truck with a nissan x-terra!! On top of that it will probably take forever and a day to get my claim taken care of since im in so-cal. I suppose peoples homes are more important than my box
Any way heres the damage...

[
You say she was 50 and that's old????. I beg to differ here. She was more than likely not paying attention... 50+ old i am screwed then.
