Selling a Quad??

Ok people. I have a 2004 Polaris Predator 500 50th Anniversary Edition and need to sell it so I can get a money for a lift, tires, and wheels. The only problem is I can't sell it!! I've tried local newspaper classifieds, local online classifieds, and ebay not once, but TWICE. The thing still hasn't sold. It hasn't been run much at all and I'm asking a decent price for it. Does ANYBODY have ANY idea how I can get this thing sold???

No aftermarket stuff. It does have Fox Shox and new rear Maxxis IRAZR tires. It probably hasn't even been run 10 hours yet. Looking to get $3900 out of it.

It is a 04"? What does it book out for?
With that little amount of usage, it still may be a little high.

Try Cycletrader.com

Also try Craigslist and the Thrifty Nickle.

I have had great success with Cycletrader.com and Craigslist

Goodluck!

Here is your problem. I'm not trying to be mean here but nobody wants these things. The only way you are going to unload it is to drop way below book on it.

Sorry but he's right. I sold a bike just recently for $1,000 that had $3,000 invested into it plus labor on all of the parts. If the market isn't there than you've got to go to the buyers.

I just bought a 2000 Banshee for $850 a couple weeks ago. Even the YFZ450 Yamaha has no resale right now. The Polaris is not a big hit to begin with and with Can-AM coming out with the DS450 people are holding onto the cash waiting for it to hit the showrooms.

Curious since you have MX in your name. Bike and year? I bought a 95 Kx 250, and paid 1500, put 300 more into it to get it to run properly. New fork seals, chain, and sprocket. Could still sell it for 1500. Wouldnt expect to get what I put into it.

Bet ya have a four stroke...Thumper?

KX250....My favorite bike, and 95 was probably the best year for engine performance through the whole decade.

My las one was a I had an 89, 90, and 94. I sold my last one back in 99 because of knee problems.

850!?!?!? That was a friggin steal. NICE! Know where I could pick one up for that price. Here in Dallas Tx, they go for at least three times that! Look at Craigs list in the DFW area. Heres a link.

They are all almost over 3 grand.

Maybe I should make a trip to where you guys are from, buy them, haul them back, and make a shiiteload.

I call it my dirt Ninja! Really, best bike? I guess I just got lucky. I just bought what was available at the time. Ran into a guy with a late 80's Kx model while I was riding one day...He stuck a Tecate 350 in it, and it ran like a scalded dog.

I made the S/N when I actually still raced MX. I had a lot of bikes though, about a fleet of 6 bikes. 3 practice bikes, 2 race bikes, and a freestyle bike. All 2004/2005 CRF250s. I broke my back in three places during a race, as well as every bone in my right foot and collapsed my right lung so needless to say I don't ride anymore. It takes the fun out of it when you can't feel your legs. I think I have a picture of one of my race bikes in my gallery, I'll dig it up. But, now I've got another toy.

I've got some other pictures in my gallery, too.
