From my experience It happens but it's pretty rare to work nights, unless it's a big freeway job or a huge concrete pour. At any rate durring the hardcore part of summer you'll be home sitting on the couch by 1:30pm getting up the next day to start at 4:30am.

You should be able to find a nice apartment or town home for round $1100ish. The weather is awsome right now, it's prime time for outdoor activities. Lots of ATv stuff, 4x4'n, camping, hiking or whatever. Just need to get it all out of your system before May, thats when it gets hot. Even then it's only 2.5 hour drive and you're up in the cool pines of the mountains.

I subcontracted for Monks a few times when I had my dump truck service. Met some pretty cool people there but, there allways a few aholes in the bunch. Construction has slowed down a bit here in the valley but the word on the street is that they are going to keep pumping money into retail development.
Good luck & drop me a PM if you need any help getting here or finding a place to stay.

Great !! $1100 would be about perfect!! Mannn, The cool pines in the mountains - sounds like heaven .. So your sort of familiar with Monks. There pretty cool so far, but yea, always a few a$$holes in the bunch . That's ok - You just gotta make em feel like an a$$hole, they'll come around haha..

Sounds good, If I need hand finding a place or some info I'll let you know , thanks.

Congratulations on the job. The only part of Arizona I've been to is the Flagstaff area, and it was real nice. I was raised in the high desert of eastern California, and to this day I still love the desert, especially for off-roading!

That's cool.... Like the Pines and a good chill in the air myself - so, that might be an adjustment. I hear the "Pines" can be found out that way in the mountains - so it might not be that bad I'm thinkin, in-fact , that sounds AWESOME....

Who knows ?? I'll be able to check out quite a bit territory on the way down - about 1900 miles worth

Yea , my trucks the color of snow. A little bit of percipitation and blazzing a few trails - she'll blend ..

You'll be fine (as long as the A/C in your truck works well). I can almost guarantee you'll be wearing shorts during the wintertime for the first few years. I did, and only moved here from SC.

Once you get over the seemingly stark, baren open desert, and you get offroad into some remote areas, you'll start to see the beauty of it here.

I'll be out in Florence Junction November 2nd-4th for a Christian 4x4 Jamboree, if anyone wants to come wheel with us and see some beautiful country... The trail I'm leading has the remains of an old Pony Express stop alongside the trail where the riders would stop for fresh horses.

Well, AZ is a great place. However, you will probably miss the ‘green’ and the fall change of colors. But, I bet you will not miss the cold.

I have lived in AZ most of my 40+ years and love it here. I spent 5 years on the east coast (NJ and northeast PA) and I do miss the green trees and nice summers however, I do not miss the feet of snow and grey bare trees and endless cold days where it does not get above 32 and the snow does not melt until April or May. Was so happy to sell my snow thrower to my neighbor when return the Arizona.

I guess there is good and bad here everywhere but I find that there are way more places to for 4 wheeling, hunting and generally get out doors here.

I would rather stay - to much has to change and Grandholm isn't helping matters. We have Unions here and I belong and am fully vested. I have to freeze all that and opt for a company with a good 401K and start over - well, sort of. I'll still collect a pension from the union no matter what now. But I still would rather keep that going.. It takes 3 years in a 401K to get a full match from an employer which works out purdy good - I should still be alright when I retire - in 25 years or so

Sounds like a cool adventure - I don't think I'll be down there by then..

Yea , I've been looking at a variety of pics and it definitely looks nice out that way.

Yea, the fall change is happening now - I just raked and mulched up a ton of leaves 3 days ago - I look out the window now and it looks like there's twice as much on the ground I won't miss that , but yea, there nice to look at on the trees when there changing color - To bad they dont stay there
