There's a little bit of Bob Seger's Night Moves in it too.

I'm a fan. Actually he's from my home town (Romeo, Michigan) and went to my High School, use to DJ at my Junior High Dances and went to my Church before he hit it big. I was a Freshman when he was a Senior, but Romeo High School was only 10-12th grade at that time. So I knew his younger sister more than him.

I actually heard both "All Summer Long" and "Rock and Roll Jesus" the other day. I like them, but I also like most of his stuff too.

Whether you like him or not, he certainly has a lot of range from Hip Hop, to Rock to Country and he appeals to the masses.

He busted his **** to make it big and never gave up, so for that I've got a lot of respect for him. He also doesn't forget his roots, and often times comes back around for local events (Fairs, Sports Events, Summer Parties, Holidays). The thing I like most about him is that he almost always pays tribute to the Artists that inspired him the most, and I can't think of too many artists that still continiuosly do that once they hit it big.

Just my .02

Same state ha try living in the town 5 miles north, when he first came out you couldn't go anywhere without hearing about how KidRock came to this place all the time. My favorite song of his is probably American Badass someone pointed out to me that he used Metallica's Sad But True.

You say that like strippers are real people deserving of some respect.

I don't know what happened with what he was accused, but I'd bet alot of money that whatever happened was instigated by the money hungry ***** who saw a celebrity with some money. I doubt he reacted appropriately, but I doubt he was the instigator. I've known a few strippers, even dated a couple. They are all the same, if you think differently, you are probably the chump paying their bills.

On to the CD, I think it is pretty decent. I think he's very talented and am continually suprised at his musical range. Any doubters, take a look at his work on and production of a Robert Bradley CD, or working with Hank, Sheryl, or the countless others that he has.

All Summer Long I actually liked. I'm not a Kid Rock fan, but I try to give most music a chance. What amazes me is that people actually talk about Kid Rock like he is some great musical talent and no one gives Bruce Springsteen, someone who has proven himself to be a actual rock and roll musicial icon a chance.

Almont, I know a ton of people from Almont. You probably know Berville then. I use to own the old Berville Lions Hall with my cousin. He still owns it, right where North Ave dead ends. I can run a few names by you through a PM if interested. Most of who I know is in their early to mid 30s now.

I didn't know Kid Rock personally as he graduated a year before I went to High School there, but he had been to a few parties and had been known to run his mouth probably more than he should have, of course this was all back in the day though. From the events he use to DJ like my Jr High Dances and the occasional passing at Church, he seemed OK to me. But, that's not say that his little taste of fame went to his head. He had a couple of albums out when he was in High School, I'm pretty sure Grit Sandwiches for Breakfast and the Polyfuse Method were out before he graduated, or right around that time. I'd have to look it up. He would have graduated in 91... Anyway, my High School had it's share of A-holes too though, so I can't really say one way or the other. It probably depends on who you ask.

The problem is Kid Rock is a big musical talent. He's produced, written, and collaborated on a phenomenal blues album (with Robert Bradley's Blackwater Suprise). He has done rap, country, rock, and pop. All of these very successfully. Now I know Bruce is an icon, I'm not trying to diminish what he's done because he's been around alot longer than Kid and done alot more. However, Kid has a more diverse portfolio. Unfortunately Kid usually gets stereo-typed more for his personality than for his music.
