Marathon
Hey Guys,
I am training to run a 1/2 marathon which is 13.1 miles. I am running for my co-workers little boy that was born with major birth defects. If you guys can take a second please check out my fundraising page, it will explain more. It doesn't matter if you can only give $5 for this family. Please check it out. Thanks guys!!!

Hey KHardin, how's your training coming? When's the run? Good to see people out there helping and trying to make a difference!
My fiance and I are running a 1/2 marathon down in Florida on Jan 12th to help raise money for Ataxia-Telangiectasia (Imagine a disease that combines the worst symptoms of muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, immune deficiencies, and cancer. Children with A-T are usually confined to wheelchairs by age 10 and often do not survive their teens. Because A-T is a multi-system disease, scientists believe that A-T research will help more prevalent diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, AIDS, and cancer.)
We're supporting our friend Joe, who has been friends with my fiance all his life. Joe just graduated from High School and is now attending the Pulley Career Center in Alexandria, VA. The Pulley Career Center is a work/study vocational school that will teach Joe a trade and will provide a job coach for him on the job site to make sure that he is successful and safe.
If any one feels so inclined, my donation page can be found at

PS: Sorry for hijacking your thread, I'll donate to your cause to help make up for it!

Today, I ran 8.5 miles. I run on my college's XC team. It's the hardest sport to do, in my opinion. I normally train 100 miles/week. The past summer I ran 160 miles in a week and I only drove 50 miles in my truck in that week. So I ran more than I drove.

Howver, you've got to love running to do it. Not many people can physically do it... but it's just the way it goes.
