Pneumatic or Hydraulic Jack

I was wondering if there was such a thing as a pneumatic jack or a hydraulic jack?

Also, is there such thing as a portable or moveable car lift?

Yes to all.

There are Pneumatic jacks.
There are Hydraulic jacks.
and there are portable lifts.

Here is a trusted site with a mid rise, 6000-Lb. Capacity for $1695 + shipping as pictured

No problem....

When I build my shop I have been debating back and forth on putting in a permanant 4 post lift or getting a portable. There are advantages and dis advantages to both.

We have use these 25 ton air/hydraulic jacks at work. We just got a new one and have two old ones plus a few that don't work so well anymore.

I'm just about to go peel the wax on a jug of Maker's Mark. No cola, no water, just 3 fingers in a glass and s-l-o-w sipping!

Just because it is a 4 post lift doesn't mean it isn't movable. They have them that they have wheels that can be lowered and the lift moved around, even with a vehicle on it.
If I had the room and the place to use it, I would have a 4 post with the wheels.

Especially useful if you have multiple vehicles. You can store one on the rack, and one under it.

I hadnt seen those. When I get closer to time for me to build, probably another 5 years, because I'm planning on doing it at the same time as the new house. Then I'll start seriosuly shopping.

I do want a lift cause dang, it's so handy and soooo much safer and like you said storage.

Here is an example. There are quite a few that have this set up.
