Ford scores top Toyota exec

Ford Motor Co. has nabbed a rising star from Toyota Motor Corp.

An official with the Dearborn automaker today confirmed that Jim Farley, group vice president of Toyota’s Lexus Division, will be Ford's first chief marketing officer.

While I do not like toyota I will admit they do alot of things to gain consumer trust and attention. Good job Ford, keep adding the right pieces to the puzzle and lets see Ford at the top again

I should drop off my resume for the other top Exec position. I'll get it for sure.

Uh, Ahem. Going out to lunch now with top Toyota stockholders congratulating me on accepting their offer. They were on their knees with tears in their lil eyes!! I couldnt say no. I am gonna upgrade their Tundra line to be on par with the F-series, finally.

Unfortunately, nothing will change at any of the big three until they get the unions off their backs and have a level playing field with the import manufacturers.

Fixing quality problems? Ford has made great strides recently in reliability, putting it near toyota and Honda in many catagories.

I got free loaners also about 90% of the time. Just be nice and politely tell them you have to have a car. The biggest things Ford needs to do with their dealers is getting them to act like they are glad to see you. The customer that needs warranty work is the reason they are in business, not a pesky problem. That and taking some lessons from Honda on how to work on a customers' car without damaging it, would be a huge plus.

I will give that a shot, I actually havent had my Ford in for service yet, but dodge would now allow any sort of a loaner without payment. Thanks for the heads up
