On top of a sky scraper
Wow I'm really mean! Guess how I figured that out?
I read the title of the thread and poster in the general overview of the GD forum and the first thing that came to mind was "please jump".

As promised. I had to take a sales rep up there to test the adhesion of a product we are thinking of using on the roof. I didnt make it back to the office yesterday. By the time I got done with lunch it was almost 2pm and I decided to go home for the day. And yes I do roofing estimates and inspections for commercial roofs which includes these types of buildings. I can actually see the building I live in in one of those pictures.

nope no more. I wasnt supposed to be up there site seeing...LOL. The guy that escorted us up there was wondering why I was taking more pictures of the view than of the roof. I will be back up there once we start the job in a month or two. I am going to have to check on the guys doing the work.

Oh well, they look good.
Thanks for sharing.
I worked the Inter First tower back in the Early '80's. 2 stories a week.
I see you were standing back from the edge there Dave. You should try walking across an 18 inch beam. It's the building in the second picture. Center left with the black band around the top and anttennas.
And people ask me how my hair got so gray.
When the wind would blow the tower would actually sway in the wind. If it got over 12 - 15 MPH we did'nt work.

We do Firestone TPO, EPDM, Modified, Built up. We also do dura last, sarnafil, fiber tite, GAF, and just about any other roof you could think of. This building is weird. They have concrete with a elastomeric coating on it as a roof. I am going to remove most of the coating and put a new product I havent ever used but it seems to be great stuff from the tests.
