Politically, she has always been somewhere between socialist and communist. Why would those statements surprise anyone?

I gotta give her credit, she sometimes actually says what she thinks. Most politicians are smarter than that, they only vote that way, never say it.

I'm also not surprised that her quotes reek with socialism. But I don't "gotta give her credit" for being less smart/less deceptive than other politicians. Those quotes would surprise many of the tens of millions of uniformed voters in the country (and delight millions of them as well).

IMO, she is probably smarter and MORE deceptive than most politicians. And more socialist than most (not all). And she's running for President and has an excellent chance to win!

So yes, I am afraid that the creeping socialism we have endured for almost a century will once again take giant leaps forward at the expense of capitalism and liberty.

First of all, true free markets exist largely in theory and almost never in practice, so how do you know how much they benefit us?

Secondly, even if I accept your premise that a strictly free market is not as good as a well regulated market, I must point out that the free market could still be vastly superior to a poorly regulated market.

But free markets put the regulation makers out of business, so the politicians tend to not like them so much. Can't collect donations from one or both sides of the market if they are not regulating them.
