I'm going to SD for two weeks for work. Just wondering if there is anything to do in Brookings?

Brookings? meh. Very typical Midwest small college town.

Sioux Falls has some great nightlife, a beautiful park along the river (where the waterfalls the town is named after is) and some really good restaurants.

You're in South Dakota. How often do you hear about things to do in South Dakota? Yeeeeep...

 

looks like I'll have to bring the ps3 and sit in the hotel and play games. Yeah.....games.

 

Brookings,yeah,not (alot) to do there.You might be able to go to a fotball game if you're into that.Like someone else said,Sioux Falls is about an hour away and there is some night life here.Most likely you'll go to Bucks.(be prepared to fight or at least see one!)It's always crowded and there is NO room EVER on the dance floor....that's where the chicks are!(drunk!)
We pride ourselves on having the most places to eat per capita,then anywhere else.Lots of good food,lots of chain food(I'm from Kansas City originally)so there's no BBQ,Famous Daves is it.It's a fun town,but yeah......if you can't travel from Brookings....bring your games!

 

Can't be nearly as bad as where I am right now in DeKalb, IL.

I'm just glad I'll get to be home again next week. This is the last of three weeks of straight travel.
