Ken Burns "Th War"

Again---I just watched the last episode. To think of all those boys---18, 18, 20 (some as young as 15) just going out and doing the duty...and now 1000 a day are dying across the US. One pilot made a very good point; he said that their were hidden casualties---internal casualties that many suffered that were indescribable.

Tremendous work. I am buying it, and I hope that next year I will be teaching a course, "WW II---through the eyes of a camera, both through movies and documentaries."

Yep---we are losing the "Greatest Generation" ---the Soldiers who fought in WW II at a rateof about 1000 men per day. Soon, there will be none left to tell their own story.
