I cant belive that no one has hacked it yet. I'd be on that like gold diggers on a millionair.
I can tell you why the BT is locked out. $.25/pic message, $1.99/ring tone, $2.99/month sync service the list goes on an on.

There's a good reason most of the people in Little Rock say they HAD Alltel and most say "never again". It is hard not to find someone that works at corprate and will give you a discount; yet most people still refuse to use their service.

Pretty much anything that can be stored on your phone. Did you take a good pic and want to put it on your PC, want to make you own ring tones, get ring tones (non-copyrighted) from other people or sync you phone contacts with your PC contacts? All of these can be done via a functioning BT. Several phone companies lock out this portion of the software so that you must pay them for these services. I had the people at Alltel tell me that it was the phone manufacture that did this. It is a load of BS. All of the Samsung phones sold by Alltel have the BT locked. I bought a Samsung from AT&T and the BT worked perfectly. It is just another way for them to over charge you.

I agree completely... They say it's for "security and conpyright protection....." pshh they dont care about copyright, thats not thier problem, with 90% of the customers hollering for BT with Obex, youd think theyd get a hint..... many have left just becasue of that. Know one belives the BS about the "manufacturer" like you said, other service providers have the exact same phone and are capable.

What I dont understabnd is why some of thier phones have full BT and others dont...... and why it's teh more expensive ones that dont......

I make or get my ring tones and use the Micro SD in a card reader to move them to my phone. But still Being able to do it BT and beable to share tehm BT and get them BT would be great. I miss out on the fun of BT parties all the time becasue I dont have teh equipment..... well I do but it cant do the job......... So I have to just stand back and watch........

I use the Moto V325. It's really tough, gets great reception and battery life, but most importantly, it's cheap! I am hard on my phones too, so the trendy crap is out of the question for me.
