Six speed. I have not read very positive reviews of the SMG. It feels great to be back driving a manual.

The last time the Susan G. Komen Drive for Life thing was in town, they had a 545i with SMG to drive...it's a neat setup for driving the car ten-tenths, no holds barred, but it's pretty annoying in daily use.
