I have NOT, after exhausting research been able to find anything about my truck having a V6… cool truck, I love it!
It's only a 7700 if it has 7 lug wheels. If it doesn't someone swapped the tailgate. The GVWR is also on the door jamb sticker. The 2004 Heritage is simply a 2004 built with parts left over from 2003. The "regular" 2004 is the first year of the new body style. 7700 is GVWR, not towing capacity.

Actually, in 2004 Ford changed to the new body style and when doing so experienced parts shortages for the new style. The decision was then made to continue building the F150 at both plants to meet F150 buyer demands, old style or new style. The Heritage was not built from “ left over parts”. This model I have was simply a truck built at a plant that never ceased building the F150. As for the 7700… correct. It represents GVWR. On my truck, the F150 7700 on the tailgate was from the factory. Thanks for the reply.

2004 F150 Regular Cab 4x4, Heritage 7700 V6

Title shows Heritage. Tailgate emblem shows F150 7700. Truck is a V6 Automatic so I’ve received responses saying it can’t be a 7700 with a V6… tailgate and emblem is all factory original. I’m not saying I agree or disagree with being told it’s not a 7700 because of the V6. I prefer that people responding provide some form of technical specifications evidence to support their belief. I’ve scoured the internet investigating the 2004 Heritage / 7700 and see only limited information. I purchased the truck from the second owner. So, anyone interested in commenting, I would appreciate copying the specifications facts. Thanks for the assistance.

You do not have a 7700. 7700's have 7 lug wheels, you have 5 lug wheels. 7700's only came with a 5.4 in 2004. Look at your door jamb sticker, the 7700's have 7700 GVWR. My sticker is posted in the next post, my GVWR is 6050. Someone either swapped your tailgate or emblem or it was a factory misconfiguration.
