What Honda?

And deals can be had at a Honda stealer. When I bought my wife's Accord, they made $24 on the whole deal after holdback/dealer cash. I made them give it all to me.

Not so much so at a Toyota dealer where they think their cars are solid gold and their **** smells like roses.

Lol, meant the Toyota. At any rate, neither Honda nor Toyota will deal like Ford on average. Did your dealer only make $24? I HIGHLY doubt it... they play games to make you think they make no money and still do all the time.

Did you trade in on the deal? Either way...it's RARE that you will find a deal as good on a Jap car as a Ford.

UPDATE:

We came home with the Liquid Platinum CX-7 w/ black leather Grand Touring package. Every option except built in Nav w/back up camera. I was set on a Ford EDGE SEL, but it's gonna be my wife's car and once she drove the CX-7 it was all over. Oh well. I feel like we got a good deal so that helps a little.

Well first of all let me start by saying I WANTED the EDGE SEL. My wife loved it too, untill we drove the CX-7. BTW I drove the new car around today (bank, lunch, dealer) all over north Dallas. I have to admit this car is incredible to drive. This little turbo 2.3l i-4 will absolutely move! This car will get WAY over the speed limit in a hurry. It is a totally different feel than the EDGE. I still like the EDGE better for looks and feel, but this Mazda is fun! It is hard to drive this thing and not crack a smile. After today I'm feeling much better about our purchase.

Congrats!

I, for one, have driven each of those three and I'm partial to the Edge as well... that said, the CX7 was a VERY close second (and the one I drove was pretty lame/basic whereas the Edge was loaded down).

I think you both will enjoy it! Get some pics!

One other thing I like about the CX-7 is the shift-tronic transmission. I think it would make the Edge a little bit more fun to drive too.

But it wouldn't back up the car as a whole. The CX-7 has the sproty look, interior, & feel. Not to mention the actual suspension and racy motor. I am partial to the EDGE for many reasons, but this little CX-7 is just an absolute joy to drive. Now, on long roadtrips or many years down the road I think I would miss the EDGE. But for now, and driving around the metroplex, this car is an outright blast to drive. Tomorrow we are gonna try and get some pics of it so I will work on adding some pics to my gallery later tomorrow.
