actually what they meant by coming to rest is when the object comes to a compleate stop from the force of the spring but they want to know if the spring pushes it back or not, if i werent too lazy id figure it out

I know. Like I said, just poor wording. Logically one would think that unless x=0 then it would push back at least some seeing as how the ramp is frictionless.
Bah, I had two hours of physics today including a quiz. I'm just going to not think about it and go back to looking and the half naked ladies portion of this thread.
