Doe, a deer, a female.....

deer.
I was putting out the trash and notices a few deer in the back yard. i grabbed my camera and took a couple of poor quality pics. i watched them for about 1/2 hour before they were spooked and ran off into the woods.
There were 3 does and 1 fawn who was very cute jumping around, trying to suckle and even mounted the doe.

I'm working in Colorado right now commissioning a nat gas facility, this hillbilly looking operator shows up in his truck today with a slightly dented bush bumper with some blood on it, as he explains what happened and how he hit the deer someone asked if it lived, hes like, "hell no dude" as he points "its in the back of the truck"
man did we laugh

These were in a field behind our house yesterday

These were in our yard a few days earlier

Deer and pheasants are pretty much an everyday thing around our house and lots of wild turkeys in the winter.

I have the damn things in my yard every day, they eat anything green out there; flowers, shrubs, fruit trees. Just a common garden pest, like big rats...with horns

They can be a pest WMR. So far all they eat around our house are the cedar trees lining our back property line. They only eat (or rub) from the middle down so they all look like big lollipops.

You're lucky. I have to spray my flowers with an egg solution every 2 weeks or the suckers will eat them down to the ground, and it doesn't always keep them away. Saturday morning I looked out the window and there was a doe standing about a foot from the deck. I'm waiting for them to come up the steps and help themselves to the flower pots up there to, maybe come on in the house and sample the houseplants!

I used to get calls from people stating they had deer eating their landscaping. These people were pissed beyond belief. What the hell do you want the Police to do that you can't?

Idiots!! While I get pissed when I go out in the morning and see my flowers nibbled down to the roots, I would never call the police. People are so stupid!
