While we would survive, and they probably would too, it would hurt us both. Canada is the only country that has been with us in the middle east from the word go. For thier loyalty they have my respect.

This is true, Canadians are also awesome because they **** off no one. Talk about a providence that knows when to stay out of others business. We could take some notes. That said we could survive without them though

I should hope you could survive without us, less population than California just for comparison, but I would like to think we contributed more to the world than that nutty place.

This is very true too!!!
You never hear of anyone wanting to attack canada.
Which is astounding considering the amount of resources and potential cash they are sitting on and the amount of cash flow they have coming in becasue of it. Ussually wealth attracks war, yet some how they stay under everyones radar.

I dont hate canadians. I dont even know any. When I made that statement earlier I was refering to exports from canada and us being OK without their exports. I might be an azzhole but dont take what I said the wrong way.

I see your point and I'm not taking it the wrong way but the US is dependent on Canada for a lot of it's oil and a lot more of it's natural gas. Then there is electricity. We could flip a switch in BC and put half of California in the dark. Then again, maybe that's not such a bad thing. It's true the US would probably "do allright" without Canada and it would hurt us more but they would still need to get their resources someplace. It's just more economical to get them from Canada. I think the US and Canada make pretty good neighbors. Each could live without the other but it's better that we don't have to.
Now excuse me while I go make a shopping list. Dollar almost at par and I have a long weekend coming up. Guess I'm going to Idaho shopping.
