I'm a U of L fan (wife's alum) but, the better team won last night. Louisville's defense looked awful... not lousy - AWFUL.

I was torn between two teams I watched growing up. I spent the mojority of my youth in KY. Louisville in particular. I did not get to see anything but the last in vain attempt of Louisville. I was at the Arkansas/Alabama game.

I did finally choose a side. At least 1 team I was pulling for won this weekend.

I'm from KY so I support all teams there, but I hated to see this. UK isn't going to make a run for the national championship so it was a disappointment. They might have an excellent team but the SEC is just too strong for them to go a whole season without losing 2 games at least - which would definitely knock any team out of the runnings.

are you saying louisville wold have made a run?? they still have to play w. virginia, rutgers, and i have a strong feeling they wont make it through those games. not to mention cincinatti. and we cant forget utah, who blew ucla our of the water.

national championship, maybe not, but winning more games than louisville, ver good possability.

Ok, I am tired of this "UK isn't going to make a run for the national championship so it was a disappointment" crap. Louisville didn't show up with there A game (which a quote unquote 'national champion' should bring EVERY game), so they lost. Take it, accept it, and move on. if you want a BCS championship, move outta state. Ain't gonna happen in ky! Geeze like they were gonna get through the season w/o a loss anyways... lol

ok, sorry for the rant. Now, IF , and I mean IF we beat arkansas we have a good chance of going 6-0 before LSU and Florida at home. I don't have much hope for those two. The next two tuffy's would be Gerogia and Tennessee, which we should be alright. Again, SHOULD be alright.

They made a run at it last year, so why would things be any different. They came in highly ranked with even higher hopes. They might have been caught off guard by all of that and the generalizations about the UK football program. Rival games will always be close though no matter how oddly matched the teams are. If UK wins more games than UofL the football program might actually steal over some of those silent basketball fans during the fall.

That (inpart) is why we are gonna do better than expected this year.

I agree except for the 'oddly matched' part. After all, we won right?

actually a lot haas changed. i am a die hard uk fan, and it seems like i am telling you about your own team. first of all you have a new head coach. that in itself is huge. and the next biggest thing is that you guys dont really have a defense that has shown up to play. they did play pretty good against ky, but as you may very well know, the d for you guys is hit or miss.

other than that, some new guys, new schedule, all together new year. those are just a few things that are different from last year.

Should be a good game this week. I know the UK guys should be ready after watching John Parker Wilson eat up the Arkansas D. Of course, looking at UK's rushing defense, Arkansas is just foaming at the mouth. Again, I can't wait for this weekend to get last weekend's taste out of my mouth.

this is gonna be a battle- DMac is gonna run thru us like no tomorrow, but mr woodson is gonna have a field day against your cb's .. pass vs. rush- but don't overlook little... who's right up there with the top RB's for the sec this year

im the only UK'r at work, but I've managed to get at least one razorback out of the 4 available on my side for the weekend- the rest are bound and determined to will Arky to a win... UK 42, Ark 35

About my own team eh? I support any team from KY and I stated that so what are you talking about? I will stop this now though, I realize UK vs. UofL topics will be never ending here, but I favor neither over the other.
